First Book Canada, Amazon Book-Bag Build

First Book Canada is a nonprofit social enterprise that believes that education is the best way out of poverty for children in need. They address the needs of children by providing educators and program leaders serving low-income communities with access to free and low-cost books and resources to help create educational equity.

First Book Canada and Amazon partnered to run Book-Bag Build events, distributing 21,000 brand-new books to 4,200 children across five Canadian provinces. Amazon employee volunteers packed and delivered the book bags to kids in low-income communities.

We are excited to be among the recipients and collaborate with First Book Canada to select 5 book titles from a curated list for the Book Bags, filled with brand-new, age-appropriate books for children in our community.
