Partnership with Room to Read

This past November, Vartika Gupta, the fabulous Project Manager at Room to Read., offered us a fantastic opportunity. Room to Read, a leading nonprofit for children's literacy and girls' education, offered us a set of seven beautiful books written in English and Haitian Creole to distribute to families free of charge. They also provided our staff with fantastic, free literacy-focused professional development training by the wonderful Patrick Curry, who did an incredible job facilitating the Spark Read Aloud training.

We jumped on this opportunity very quickly before we knew if we had 500 copies of this set of books. That’s right, 7 x 500 = 3,500 books in total!

Several copies will be sent to each of our CRR Book Nooks and partnering organizations. If you are interested in any of these titles, please visit us during our program hours.
