Guest Author Appearances
Noah Nogueira - Friday July 11th
Noah is 20 years old and currently resides in Guelph, Ontario. He works part-time as an entertainer, performing comedy-juggling shows and roaming variety entertainment. He has entertained over 20,000 people (since his first paid appearance at age 11). He loves to make people laugh and smile. In his spare time, Noah enjoys working out, video games, creating juggling videos, spending time with his friends, board games, and attending performance events. His favourite way to relax and unwind is by spending time with his cat Slinky.
The Book - Angel … the name alone conjures up thoughts of an angelic creature, one that is gentle and loving. This is the only way to describe our loving pet, Angel, who came to share our lives such a few short years ago, or so it seems now. The love that we gave to Angel was returned to us tenfold, as could only have been done by a real angel. Her sudden passing left us with a deep sadness of having lost a dearly loved member of our family; however, we must continue to remember the love and devotion that she brought into our lives. This is her story, and of the life she shared with us.
Courtney Harris - Thursday, July 24th and Friday 25th
Join author Courtney Harris for a fun-filled hour of food & friends. We will begin by reading The Many Great Things About Food (and You) — a rhythmic rhyme to explore the many purposes of food, witness flexibility in eating, and encourage positive self-esteem!
Since kiddos process information best through play, we will move through several stations including:
activity sheets from the corresponding Activity Book for Preschoolers
food-related educational toys (numbers, shapes, letters, etc)
craft/dress-up station where kids will create their own superhero wands based on their inner strengths!
Young readers are sure to remember this memorable story and all it entails! To read more about the books, please visit @many.great.things.about.food on Instagram.
Breanna and Ashley Bolliger - Friday, Aug 1st
Authors & Illustrators
Ashley and Breanna published their first children's book, "Carrie Can Fly Too". Their heartwarming story follows Carrie, a little yellow bird who dreams of soaring through the skies despite the obstacles she faces. With courage and resilience, Carrie learns to embrace her unique qualities and discovers her true strength with the help of another bird who values her for who she is. Through their story, they aim to celebrate themes of self-confidence, diversity, kindness, and acceptance in a way that resonates with young audiences.
