First Book Canada, Amazon.ca Book Bag Build

Thank you to First Book Canada, Amazon.ca Book-Bag Build!

We are excited to be among the recipients and to collaborate with First Book Canada to select 5 book titles from a curated list for Book Bags, filled with brand-new, age-appropriate books for children in our community. We received 100 totes!!!

First Book Canada and Amazon partnered to run 32 Book-Bag Build events, distributing 16,000 brand-new books to 3,200 children across five Canadian provinces. Amazon employee volunteers packed and delivered the book bags to kids in low-income communities.

First Book Canada is a nonprofit social enterprise that believes that education is the best way out of poverty for children in need. They address the needs of children by providing educators and program leaders serving low-income communities with access to free and low-cost books and resources to help create educational equity.

Families who attended Booktoberfest this year received one tote each. They were so happy to receive the tote of free books and to fill it with free goodies from the event.

Thank you very much!
