What is Tea ‘n’ Tales at Riverside Park?

Tea ‘n’ Tales are fantastic collaborative events where writers and musicians from Guelph, Elora, Hamilton, Kitchener/Waterloo, Brampton, Toronto, Burlington, Mississauga, Bowmanville, and even the state of Wisconsin come together in a beautiful and whimsical space in Riverside Park under a large old Ash tree and perform their masterpieces live. The Guelph Guild of Storytellers (GGS) makes these beautiful community events possible.

It gets better. Family-friendly Saturdays occur four times during the summer, where children’s writers and musicians can showcase their talent. Once in a while, get the very talented Robert Munsch to come and perform his memorable and silly children’s stories. What a site to see. I was giddy when I first saw him at Tea ‘n’ Tales last summer. I had to chime in on the repetitive parts of his stories, for example, Mortimer. Who couldn’t? Haha.

We were very grateful for being invited to our first Tea ‘n’ Tales at the end of last summer. After that, we knew we had to come back the following summer. Thankfully, Sya from the GGS graciously asked us to return in 2024 for all four Family Friendly Saturdays in the summer. We quickly accepted and were so excited.

So that’s what Tea ‘n’ Tales is all about. We hope to see you at the two remaining Family-Friendly Saturdays this summer. Please check out our events page for the details on those.
